L&rsquo;objectif principal de notre laboratoire est de comprendre l&rsquo;\u00e9tiologie du vieillissement du cerveau. Notre but est de fournir des informations importantes sur les changements li\u00e9s \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e2ge survenant au niveau de nos (\u00e9pi)g\u00e9nomes, cellules et tissus, et d&rsquo;identifier de nouvelles strat\u00e9gies pour ralentir le d\u00e9clin cognitif et r\u00e9duire l&rsquo;incidence des maladies neurod\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ratives. Notre recherche est principalement ax\u00e9e sur l&rsquo;\u00e9tude de deux m\u00e9canismes mol\u00e9culaires qui maintiennent la structure et les fonctions du cerveau : l&rsquo;\u00e9pissage alternatif de l&rsquo;ARN et la r\u00e9gulation de la structure de la chromatine. Nous examinons comment ces deux m\u00e9canismes interagissent pour orchestrer le d\u00e9veloppement du cerveau et pour maintenir l&rsquo;hom\u00e9ostasie c\u00e9r\u00e9brale.
