Yesterday was Inès’s birthday! We celebrated it with cakes and some presents! Her birthday is also the one year mark of the first COVID-19 lockdown… NB: Inès « lost » her phone the other day while hiking. Few days after, she realized that the phone was still

Sometimes, some grants are harder to write than others (= your students can see that you do not sleep a lot and you are tired). I just submitted a new grant today (deadline at 12pm) and when I came to the students’ office to let

Since the holidays, lab members have the tendency to arrive later than usual. I found a way to cunningly motivate them to wake up: viennoiseries! 🙂   They are on the desk by 8:30am and removed at 10am. You arrive late, too bad for you!

These past days, we have intensively decorated the student office for our Department’s Christmas challenge. Objective: to have the most decorated office to win a lunch for the whole lab! We went for it. Ceiling, windows, door, wall, offices,… Everything has been decorated! The judges

Since the beginning of the pandemic, many classes have gone into virtual mode. This situation disrupts the habits of students but also… professors! In September and October, an initiative has been launched at the Université de Sherbrooke: open-air classes! 11 outdoor classes were set up
